This is an Oil Painting Workshop where we will paint together from a still life designed to help you better understand the many nuances of color. Building on our knowledge of working with the color wheel, “White on White” doesn’t mean we will paint exclusively with white, it means we will learn use white as a color, not just as perceived ‘light’, and therefore broaden our understanding of ALL colors relationships. Renior said; nothing is so difficult, and at the same time exciting, to paint as white on white!
Pure pigment oil paint included in the class!
As always expect a lot of mixing on the palette.
Core concepts: Value, color contrasts and relativity. Contrasts driven by content from Itten (Bauhaus), Klee, Albers, Morandi, and many others.
